In the last 50 days of the decade, I'll be writing about 50 songs from that time that have meant something to me. Think of it as alternative end-of-decade list – one that doesn't tell you why this record mattered, or that record counted, but one which simply tells the story of a 21-year-old girl who grew into a 31-year-old woman, and the songs that soundtracked and shaped her life. I do this in the daft hope that it will also help people remember tiny bits of music that conjure up memories and important moments for them, as my tracks come out of my murky mind day-by-day, in no particular order, rushing by as I write them down.
I'm Jude Rogers, I write about music, among other things, for a living, and you can contact me here.
Another tearful moments...oh dear Jude. I once met Will Young at Elgin Crescent bus stop. He's alright though.
ReplyDeleteThis is my favorite of the blogs. Says so little; says so much; brings so many memories to mind.
